Personalised Wooden Name Trains
Our personalised wooden name trains are made up of the letters in your childâs name. Thereâs an engine at the front, a caboose at the back and room for a few extras along the way.
We have eight Aussie animal carriages to choose from, plus a heart and an ampersand. Add their favourite animal or leave it as a simple name train. Itâs up to you.
Personalise Your Wooden Name Train
You donât need to select the letters one by one. Enter your childâs name in the builder and it adds the wooden train letters for you.
It accepts names from three to twelve letters, using any letters of the alphabet from A to Z.
For OLIVER, youâll have six letter carriages. With the engine and caboose, thatâs an eight-piece train set.
Check the spelling in the preview, add any extras youâd like and youâll see the total price before ordering.
Beech Wood with a Natural Finish
Our Kaper Kidz name train carriages are made from beech wood with a natural stain. You can still see the grain, and the colour varies a little between pieces.
Every letter sits on its own carriage, with wooden wheels that turn. Small metal hooks and loops connect the train carriages.
The natural timber finish looks at home beside other wooden toys or displayed on a bedroom bookcase.
Add Their Favourite Australian Animals
Perhaps they love kangaroos, or youâd like a koala to go with their name. You can add one animal or several.
The eight available animals are kangaroo, koala, wombat, platypus, echidna, emu, quokka and Tasmanian devil.
Heart and ampersand carriages are available too. Youâll find each letter or symbol carriage in the preview as you put your train together.

A Personalised Wooden Name Train for the Nursery
Buying a gift for a new baby, a first birthday or their first Christmas? Name trains are also given as christening, baptism and naming day gifts.
Their personalised train can sit on a nursery shelf as a keepsake until theyâre old enough to play with it. You might display it on a bookcase or dresser, out of little handsâ reach.
Itâs a bedroom decoration with their name on it, then a wooden toy they can take down and enjoy when theyâre older.
Allow a bit of extra shelf space if youâre adding animals.
Recommended for play by children aged three years and older. These trains contain small parts. For younger children, display them out of reach.
Explore the Alphabet Through Play
Once theyâre old enough to play, you can help them recognise the letters in their name. Start with the first letter, then try putting the whole name in order.
For a simple letter recognition activity, mix up the carriages and see if they can spell their own name again. You can point out the same letters in books as you read together.
Thereâs plenty of hands-on play too. They can pull the train apart, join the carriages again and push it across the floor. Joining the hooks and loops gives little fingers practice and can help with fine motor development.
The animals can come along for imaginative play. Where the train goes is up to them.
To order, start by entering their name in the builder above.
